So here it is - one lonely almost-sock:
Just 7 rows to go until the ribbing, then go back and knit the heel, then start the other one. Lovely.

(This is the Hot Waves pattern from The Joy of Sox which I'm (hopefully) knitting for the Ravelry Sock Knitters Anonymous SOCKDOWN Challenge October - under-appreciated patterns)
I love that waving pattern.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I am always to nervous to try colour work with sock knitting. I think I shall put it on my 2011 to do list!
ReplyDeleteI'm all-together nervous of colourwork but there's only 9 rows of real colourwork. I've quite enjoyed playing with this sock and slowly getting the jogless jogs to hide themselves better has made me feel like I've achieved things too. And if you're ever in need of a good sock pattern book, I do think this one is really really quite fantastic - lots of lovely patterns.
ReplyDeleteLove it. I'm a colorwork scaredy cat, too. But I'm determined to give it a go in the new year. Here's hoping!
ReplyDeleteGreat colorwork! Colors scare me, so I tend to stay away. It looks great.
ReplyDeleteWow, I love the waves! That's amazing! I've been eyeing that book. Maybe when I get good enough to knit socks, I'll have to get it. :)
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, love the pattern and your colour choice is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love the waves. Those are going to be a great pair of socks!
ReplyDeleteLove the colorwork. The colors are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love the color work, too. Jogless jogs are the best, they make you feel like you're a knitting magician.
ReplyDeleteTotally gorgeous! great job
